U9s v Pembroke

First game back after the Christmas and the sun shone down on St David's!!

7v7 today against Pembroke.
Some very tentative rugby to start off, Pembroke were all over the Saints, loose balls and interception saw Pembroke take a very early lead. Second 10 minutes and the Saints started fighting back, some brilliant runs by Eliza, and some fab tackles from Kian. Pembroke putting on the pressure but somehow Bear found a gap and made a break for it to score the first of his 2 trys. The 3rd 10 minutes was a hard slog but Saints finally starting to find their feet. Great tackles again by Kian, Zaki, Henry and Bear and Eliza making some amazing ground gaining runs.Kian using those long legs of his to power over the line for a try. Delun doing well keeping up as scrum half throughout the game (there was a lot of running today 🥵) Logan showing his strength and speed to plough through the defence and score. Last 10 mins and again a tough slog against a very physical well drilled team, Frank had a fabulous tackle and was unfortunate to not stop the try. Some good runs from Oliver, Oscar and Sebby had a few but the last run he saw a gap, used his snake like hips and ran through. Logan and Henry still putting their bodies on the line up until the very end!!

Plenty to work on at training but won't take long to get back to where we left off.
