U9s vs Whitland

Today saw the Saints playing against a lovely Whitland team at home. The sun shone on St David's and the team shone with it. The tackling was on point today with 6 being hit a few times, team work amongst them was on point with some lovely passes. Bear, Oscar, Kian, Seb, Logan, Iwan and Ollie all had great runs making it over half the pitch and beating many defenders. Eliza used her feet and her head to make it through and offload beautifully before being tackled. Delun and Oliver shared the scrum half position commanding their team well in getting them to spread out. Henry tackled like his life depended on it, no matter the size of the player he was up against! Zaki hit as many tackles as he could, and was always there to finish and cross the line when a tackle came within feet!

These kids played their socks off today, and we as coaches are so proud of how they are developing as rugby players. They all showed their decision making on the field today, when to hold their line, when to break it, when to offload and when to hold and take the tackle.
Special mention to Oscar and Oliver both crossing for their first tries of the season.

I can't write up everything that happened, these all played so well, some very dominating tackles and all in all great play! #UpTheSaints
