U11s vs Narberth
Good game today but we seemed to be battling against illness and injury as well as the bitterly cold wind blowing across the school pitches.
We started very strongly and scored early. We continued to be very competitive in the first half and scored some well deserved points, while also working hard in defence. Mason in particular showing lots of strength and physicality.
Second half the cold hands and losing a few players meant we weren’t quite so good. Some strong Narberth players scored good tries as we reduced our intensity. Also the lack of organisation that comes from forced position changes didn’t help.
Player of the week was Joe Lamb who was more prominent in attack this week and carried the ball forward well. Jack showed most improvement this week for scoring a great try, always looking to get involved and battling on even when not feeling well. Special mention to Teilo for playing as much as he could despite not feeling well, and to Rhys as today’s captain.
Looks like another few days of rain this week but we’ll definitely aim to train on Thursday. 👍🏉
Final Score: Saints 15 - 45 Narberth
