Saints U10’s vs Pembroke Dock Quinns
Saints 59 - 22 Pembroke Dock Quinns
The first half of rugby was undoubtedly Saints' best of the season so far. Commitment in defence and attack with good handling skills offloading the ball.
The good start by St. David’s started to break Pembroke Dock down with Joey having some good runs and offloading to Rafferty who steamed through the defence to score. Strong in defence, the Saints stole the ball from Pembroke Dock on numerous occasions, Geraint clearing out the ruck to turn the ball over and set the Saints on their way.
Leading to more attacking rugby from the Saints, this time Hugo making a nice break through before George supporting well and getting over for his first try. Good to see Florence back from her holiday and making some crunching tackles. Saints leading half time 4 tries to nil. Playing uphill in the second half for the Saints meant Pembroke Dock came back into the game scoring some quick tries. Determined in defence, the team driving Pembroke Dock back from our try line, this time with Eli and Freddie tough to beat. The Saints kept battling on, rewarded with a repeat of the first half with Joey breaking through and offloading to Rafferty to score his third try. The tries kept coming with Joey crossing over for two more. In the end Pembroke couldn’t keep up with Saints’ ruthless attack.
