U9s vs Haverfordwest

Typical Welsh rugby weather this morning (but used to that now)

We had a 9 strong team and ready to battle. We started off a bit tentatively which saw Haverfordwest get the first try. We soon settled and strung a few good plays together. Great tackles from Kian, Iwan, Zaki, and a slow start but Bear soon found his stride with his tackles. It was good to see ground gaining runs from Oscar, Ollie, Seb and Oliver. Big shout out to Delun nice and quick at the tackle and quick ball out to players. Some really good phases in this game. One starting from a scrum half pass to Oliver who passed it onto Bear who then got it to Iwan on the wing.

We were tied 5-5 before the last 10 minutes. Saints gritted their teeth and kept pushing but with Haverfordwest having fresh players and a very slippy ball it ended with an away win. That being said some massive positives to take away from today. Still need some work on passing out down the line, and positioning but a really great showing from the Saints.

Well done to you all. You should be very proud of yourselves today, playing 40 minutes of rugby non stop is a massive achievement! Also the ref came and spoke to us and complimented some of the players so very well done 💪🏼💪🏼
