U9s vs Crymych/St Clears

Two tough games today for the Saints.

First up was St. Clears, not seeing them play we didn't know what we were up against. Good strong tackles from both sides, Eliza felt it from the off as she was taken down by a massive hit but was straight back up!! St Clears first to score. This didn't deter us and Ollie getting some space to see off the St Clears defence. Big hits coming in from Zaki, Henry, Logan and Iwan and Kian was relentless not giving them a chance, Kian also used his size and speed, at one time with 6 of them trying to take him down, he didn't give up and sprinted for his first try!! Oliver was scrum half for the first half, using his knowledge to command the team before passing the ball, set up some lovely runs for Bear, Logan and Kian. Second half they went back on fired up. Not long in we put St Clears into touch close to their try line, a quick pass from Seb to Zaki and there was no stopping him!! The last try of this game came from Seb, a beautiful run from him to see him over the line!!

Second game against Crymych. Some big players on this team but it didn't stop us!! Oscar got stuck into this using his reach to grab onto them and bring them down, there were some big tackles in this game but we held our own. Kian again using his speed and size to score 4 trys in this hard fought game. Ground gaining runs from Eliza, Oliver, Oscar and Zaki, Seb had an immense run from over half way and was so close to the try line before being tackled, but a quick pass out saw Bear getting his try. Some injuries occured during the matches so a speedy recovery to you all 🙏

All in all Saints it was a fabulous display of determination and what you can do when you focus your anger into your game #nobullyingallowed. You played as a team and fought hard for everything, 40 hard minutes over both games and you did yourselves proud! Every single one of you had a part to play today, super proud Coaches 🥰
