U12’s vs Neyland

Driving to Neyland this morning I was worried the game would be called off as we got there, but the weather cleared and the main pitch was playable. With a few last minute dropouts we had 12 players. Neyland have a big squad so they loaned us 3 players.

The early stages were fairly even with Neyland scoring early and the Saints getting one back fairly quickly, but then Neyland took over and the first half ended 43-5.

Conditions weren’t great but Neyland gave us 3 better players for the second half. Their second row scored the first try of the half, and we were a lot more competitive. Neyland started giving penalties away because they weren’t having it all their own way and the Saints had the final say with the last try of the match.

We stood our ground against a physical side today, well played everyone. Enjoy Christmas and we’ll be back training in the New Year!
